How much data is 1GB for a blackberry?

I want to get blackberry curve and the contract I want gives you 1GB internet per month. I'm only using it for websites like Facebook and Twitter, so how much could I visit those websites? Also Never had a blackberry before, would I need to download apps or something for Facebook, if so, how much data does that use up?
