How can i open the lines of communication with him?

Me and my boyfriend have been officially dating for 4 months. Talking for a year and a half. I went on vacation and came back a couple of days ago. I thought i had planned a date night, so when he made guy night plans i was upset. A couple of hours later i got over it. Then on twitter i found out he was hanging with some mutual female friends. I ignored his text messages, then responded to him the next morning, and told him how i was angry about the situation. He told me the girls were already there and he didn't realize i planned date night.. Now normally he is great with date night and has never cheated on me. Now he is upset with me because i got upset. I didn't curse him out or anything i just told him kindly what was bothering me now. He wont respond to my messages. Am i over reacting?
