How would I go about getting rid of Windows and installing Linux Ubuntu 11.04 without a burned disk?

Try using a single layer disk, it is most likely that your computer isn't a dual layer disk burner so try a single layer disk and burn it onto that. If not put the iso onto a flash drive and install ubuntu from that then delete the windows partition
